The Hawks Nest News is a club that meets during advisory each day with filming of some interviews and events after school. We produce a news show that highlights happenings around the school and our local community as well as showcasing creative video and animated works created by Humboldt Students.
Crew members choose their story topic, write interview questions, contact the interviewees to arrange a time and place, film b-roll and edit the final footage. They will work together with other crew members sharing the responsibilities of script writer, camera operator, interviewer, interviewee, talent scout, location scout, equipment manager, graphic artist, actor, editor, sound technician, animator, etc. HNN is an excellent way for students to get practical job experience, develop soft skills and build their resume.
We will use the funds for equipment, T-shirts, Field Trips, Food for reward celebration days.
