Dance 2025 Guidelines and Expectations

Prom is a memorable and special night for HPHS students.  These guidelines are intended to ensure that all students can have a safe and enjoyable evening.

Dance Guidelines

Procedure

• Students will enter the dance upon arrival to the dance premises and leave the dance premises immediately at the end of the dance. Students will not be allowed to stay after 10:00 pm. Make sure you have transportation.
• Only Highland Park students are allowed in the dance. No others, including children, are allowed. 
• Students and guests will present tickets upon entry and will be asked to show a student ID.

Behavior 

• No alcohol or drugs are allowed at Saint Paul Public School functions, including dances.  Any attendee suspected of being in possession of  (or having consumed) alcohol or drugs, will not be allowed to enter the dance, and the proper authorities will be notified. Dances are a drug and alcohol-free event, and these substances are not permitted on the premises, in vehicles, or in a person’s possession.
• No tobacco or smoking, vaping during dances. If you leave the building, you will not be allowed to return.
• The SPPS Rights and Responsibilities Handbook will be followed for any behavior violations and consequences may be administered.
